Supported Devices
The SolarEdge Grid API driver works at site level:
once the gateway is connected, all inverters registered on the same SolarEdge monitoring site become visible.
Below are the models we frequently encounter – any other SolarEdge inverter should behave identically.
Device Type |
---|
HD-Wave single-phase (SE3000–SE7600) |
Three-phase (SE9K–SE33.3K) |
Commercial Synergy (SE66K / SE100K) |

Configuration steps
Prerequisite: your SolarEdge site must already send data to the SolarEdge monitoring portal (
monitoring.solaredge.com
).
-
Create / use an API key
My Account → API Access → Generate key
Keep the Site ID and API Key at hand. -
Add in SmartgridOne
- Navigate to Sites → Import Wizard.
- Select SolarEdge Grid API.
- Enter Site ID, Username and Password, and (optionally) select which inverters to import.
- Confirm – all associated inverters appear immediately.
-
Grouping (optional)
If you manage several SolarEdge sites, repeat the procedure; each site will be shown under its own group.
Metrics exposed (per inverter)
Key | Description | Unit |

producedEnergyDeltaTot_Wh | Energy produced | Wh |
Inverter Control
The inverters can be controlled by setting the maximum power to a percentage of the inverter's nominal power.
If a SolarEdge Grid Meter is connected to the inverter, the inverter can be set to self-consumption. This ensures that no energy is injected back into the grid, but enough is produced to compensate for consumption.
